As Norman United plans for the future, we are working on expanding our mission to include other minorities and marginalized groups. To assist us in this goal, we ask that you please fill out a short, three question survey so that we may identify the groups in need, as well as the needs of those groups.
Join us on Tuesday, June 5 @ 7:30 p.m.
for our next monthly meeting.

What is Norman United?
A variety of faith based and secular groups and individuals have come together as N.U. (Norman United) in an effort to identify and address the support and education needs of the LGBTQ Community. After accomplishing our initial goal we have returned to the table to discuss how we can address a variety of needs, including but not limited to:
Monitoring and responding to proposed State legislation that may impede the rights of LGBTQ citizens, such as attempts to prevent communities from enacting the resolution/ordinances that Norman, Tulsa and Oklahoma City have already passed
Creating and maintaining a centralized community calendar of LGBTQ events in Norman and the near geographical area
Creating and maintaining a centralized list of resources, including websites, local groups, and care providers
Develop a way to welcome new LGBTQ citizens to the community and connect them with like-minded citizens
Coordinating with other groups on issues relevant to the LGBTQ Community
